Despite being on sick leave.Abhinandan Varthaman decided to stay with his squad in Srinagar.

If we are staying away from home and we fell sick and above that if we are granted leave from our office there is no point of giving a second thought of not going home.

IAF Pilot Ahinandan Varthaman is different from the rest of us.He was captured by Pakistan last month and returned to India two days later,has gone back to his squadron which is based in Srinagar despite being on sick leave for 4 weeks.
He could have gone to his place in Chennai to spend time with his family but he preferred to stay back with his squadron.
His Mig-21 Bison jet was shot down in a dogfight with Pakistani jets during an aerial combat.He downed an F-16 fighter of Pakistan before his plane was hit.

Since our childhood we have seen erecting statues of people posthumously.From Mahatma Gandhi to Atal Bihari Vajpayee their statues were build posthumously and that too because they did amazing works for the welfare of India.On the other hand there are few people who erect their statues even after being alive and that too with the money of people. The one among them is Mayawati the leader of Bahujan samaj party(BSP).While she was the chief minister of uttar pradesh during 2007-12,she erected over 40 statues,icluding 6 of her own.Acoording to an estimate over Rs2600 crore of exchequer was spent to build memorials and statues in Lucknow,noida and some other place in uttar pradesh.
