From selling tea to receiving Padma shri.The story of a chaiwala from Cuttack,Orissa.

Meet the man Devarapalli  Prakash Rao from cuttack orissa.A tea seller by profession and an institute in himself for the under privileged poor children.He has been selling tea for almost decades.A man who once wanted to be a doctor was selling tea for his entire life near Buxi bazaar in cuttack.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          The reason that 59-yr old man was conferred with fourth-highest civilian award padma shri was because he teaches 80 children.His mere source of income was selling tea and from this money he is helping out  those poor kids to stand tall in their life.                                                                                                                                                               Apart from this he has been donating blood for the past 40 years.So far he has saved the life of 192people.Infact he has also a squad of  volunteers who are always ready to save the life of the people any day.He hopes that his award will motivate millions of people across the country.In an interview he said
          ''it will be a lesson to youth who dream of becoming big personalities.If you put in your best efforts continuously on doing your duty,the world will recognize you one day.''

Since our childhood we have seen erecting statues of people posthumously.From Mahatma Gandhi to Atal Bihari Vajpayee their statues were build posthumously and that too because they did amazing works for the welfare of India.On the other hand there are few people who erect their statues even after being alive and that too with the money of people. The one among them is Mayawati the leader of Bahujan samaj party(BSP).While she was the chief minister of uttar pradesh during 2007-12,she erected over 40 statues,icluding 6 of her own.Acoording to an estimate over Rs2600 crore of exchequer was spent to build memorials and statues in Lucknow,noida and some other place in uttar pradesh. The SC on 1st of february said that the money spent by the former chief minister of uttar pradesh should be reimbursed to the state exchequer.
